almost famous soundtrack

one of the awesome gifts I recieved for my birthday was the soundtrack for almost famous (a brilliant film in my opinion - i love the music, and movies about it).

Anyways, its just a terrific selection of songs. In no way cliche in my opinion. Sure, some of the usual suspects from the era are there, but not the typical songs by those bands... Yes, The Who, Bowie, Lynryd Skynyrd, Led Zep, Elton and Cat Stevens all get a mention, but its not the songs you'd expect.

I really like it anyways. It captures the era as well as the vibe of the film and gives you a bunch of songs you might not be too familar with.
