We flew down here, to Sydney on Tuesday. Karz has gone home now, to get some drawing done without us boys around, and maybe even find some sanity. There are 2 things that I wanted to share at this point in time. Yes... I thought I would rely on the quirky, a genre that always seems to enrich my life.
sneezing cat
the other day I was in the lounge room at mum and dad's and i heard the cat sneeze. oh well... no biggy. but it seemed to be happening more often, like a ridiculous amount. then... the cat was walking around outside, and im just certain that i heard it sneeze.
short of calling grisam and the csi crew i knew there must be a more logical interpretation ofr the noise than vantriliquist cats that throw their sneezes on the sly. So, Sherlock here worked it out.
there's one of those air freshener gizmos in the lounge room. it puffs every 20 minutes or so and sounds exactly like a cat sneezing!
gypsy pirates in fluro
driving home from burwood last night i realised just how different sydney and brisbane indeed are. in brisbane, the average traffic control person is probably not too well educated, generally anglo, and has an expression on there face that tells you they would love to be on the dole and getting the same money for just sitting around (instead of just standing around holding a sign) - and well, rightly so... its a bit ridiculous that the minimum wage is so low... anyways... it was late, so they were probably getting penalty rates and doing alright for themselves... i really dont know, and socio-rhetoric isnt the point of this entry...
anyways...
the guys doing traffic control last night... seriously looked like gypsy pirates... i was just waiting for their ship to float down parramatta road and then have them to threaten to read tarot or a crystal ball if i didnt do as they say... all to the hearty sounds of piano accordian.
you've gotta love surprises like that... I say it would make all their jobs a little more exciting if the dressed up!
yeah? i was at these roadworx the other night and i was told to drive lowly by a pixie line dancer and a medieval astronaut.
