adventures on the internet: 10 by 10

so i did a bit of blog following tonight, stumbled accross a couple that interested me.
anyways... i found this interesting thing called 10by10, on a blog - by cheryl, thanx whoever you are :)

it basically compiles the 100 top words and images in the news on the net, and it changes every hour... We got a mention - when i looked (it will have changed by now) Dr Pattel (that psycho who was working in Bundy) was at number 88, with the word Australia connected to it...
So, an interesting tool... like me i guess.

anyways... heres the link

adventures on the internet: podcasting

welcome to another episode of AOTI. Today I feel like mentioning the podcasts I stumbled across.

Triple J, have upped their podcasts significantly. You can check them out here. I'm particlurly pumped by their Aus Music Month podcast and also that you can now get the entire show of Hack daily (instead of just highlights), as well as Roy and HG, Mel in the morning, Megan Spencer's Movie stuff, Richard Kingsmill and the crazy nuts at Today Today plus more. And yeah Dr Karl and whats your name with the annoying squeaky voice... i still love yous...

what can i say. i've been really impressed with triple j this year. they really are a resource this country cant do with out (or maybe just me... but thats ok too). whatever you're into, theres a chance one of their podcasts may well interest you. lots of music (interviews etc) and funny stuff, but also other bits and pieces.

adventures on the internet: the chaser and kaya

2 unrelated things, kaya and the chaser. what do they have in common?
i embraced both today online - i think this internet thing might be here to stay :P

Kaya (better than poker) sent out another newsletter today, and well, they are planning on coming up here again sometime soon (after woodford which i cant get to). I also recieved an email from Juleiaah which was particularly cool. They have a 6 track EP coming out late (real late) this year. I'm so pumped! Anyways, I'm sure i will mention them again. Their music inspires me in many ways, its just so outside the box... you cant even see the box anymore...

The Chaser on the other hand inspire my life in areas that need to be controlled - those of stupidity. They really are quite clever mind you. You can now watch their 4 minute weekly show Chaser News Alert (CNA) online (or ABC 2 if you have a set-top box). Its great that they are just giving us enuff to wet the apetite. I particularly liked their Jamie Oliver cookbook takeoff, definately laugh out loud funny.

So there you have it...
See you next time on Adventures on the Internet (this may or may not be the only episode)
