night is about to fall

on friday the new guild wars, nightfall, comes out!

i didnt buy the 2nd one, but it looks like the new one is going to be well worth it, stacks of new features (the heros look awesome), but still being able to link my old charecters to the new land.

anyways, thats all i'll say here, cause it'll just get way too nerdy! Thats ok though!

I just finished categorising my blog (over 200 entires, over a years worth).
I made stacks of categories, cause im random and have lots of things to say.
hopefully they will make it easier to look at things that interest you, and not other stuff. As well as being easier for me personally to navigate it all.

Well, I hope its worth it.

smashed at settlers

Last night, Mick and I went round to mate of Mick's, and played a couple of games of settlers.

I tell you... I put all my pieces in the right spots (particularly in the 2nd game. And just had crap luck and got smashed. Oh well, you get that. I had a good time though.
Anyone wants a game sometime just let me know... I'm up for it.

where did may go??

so i sit here thinking it's been a coupla weeks since i last threw some thoughts onto this contraption that is... but no? where did may go...

well at a glance, may was a busy month.

the most significant event that took place was the arrival of my new son Zayden - on the 24th. Which is also Lydia's birthday (hey Lyd) and John Wesley's Aldersgate Experience (am I a nerd or what?).

So... the weeks leading up to the baby coming were filled with hospital visits and an overflow of emotions from all 3 of us other family members... hence the lack of entries here.

other than that, life is progressing.
other things worth mentioning?

musically i've been working on a bunch of remixes of late. will post that at some point.
listening wise??? really getting into sufjan. as well as some other stuff... will post more on that later
i love musical friendships. when you find someone with similar tastes who you get stuff off, and they off you. its great to share the sounds. so yeah. particular rebecca from school, looking forward to my journey from Illinois to Michigan.
and last... and probably most significant... the experimental church project looks to be starting this coming sunday night! we only decided to kick off with it all just yesterday, but we'll see what happens...
more on that im sure...

its a whole new world
i havent had to go to school on a regular basis since year 12 (1996), and well, things have changed since then.
besides the obvious change in state, and the natural progression or evolution the world takes, there's something crazy about going to a new school. last time i started at a school i kinda looked like this, mick can vauge for that - he said as much to his Dad. so, whether or not i'm still as nerdy now as i was then (at least on the outside, on the inside im definately still a nerd - most of the time anyways), isnt really an issue. i guess i just need to be me (now that's scary).
a whole new school grounds to get to know, lots of students, stax of staff and thats without even looking at the tuck shop menu!

anyways, for obvious reasons im not going to be able to say alot about what i do at work... but im sure there will be the occasional funny story or at least embarressing anecdote.

life just got easier

its funny how hard its been to vote. ive pretty much picked things based on how much ive like them, but also to try and effect how well the artists i like go... so for example with kaiser chiefs i prefer every day i love you less and less, but am voting for i predict a riot, cause i think its a great song too, but more people will vote for it... mind you i dont stick to this... anyways...

another album i love. just a great pop song off a great album. very happy when this tune started getting airplay

what can i say. i just love these guys. couldnt decide what to vote for so i picked the one that i thought might get the most votes. its probably my faviourite album at the moment

just beautiful. been checking out the album more too of late. its just beautiful... did i say that already?

Holly Throsby Things Between People
another chilled out cruisy track. this album was realised in 2004, so it probably wont get many votes, and up with the birds, which is probably my fave off it, isnt on the voting list as it was realesed in 04. oh well, i shall vote for this one anyways as i really like holly
