Doug, Xavier and Goldie

3 thoughts from my day, all revolving around celebrities (of sorts)

Doug Pagitt.
Today my mate Steve gave me Preaching Re-Imagined, Doug's latest book. Good news, i can read it for my communicating holiness class. Anyways, just started flicking thru, and its great. I just love his down to earth, real aproach to things. He really inspires me. Will probably add more to this when i get into the book.

Xavier Rudd.
Heard on triple J today about some scam that was going on... something to do with the alcohol licence not being approved for his gig at the piazza. So... this led me to check out the gig. When did Xavier Rudd become a $50 gig? Oh my goodness. So... sorry mate, would love to see you, but just dont have the bucks for that at the mo. Might try and see little birdy instead in a coupla weeks.

Goldie Hawn.
Yes, this is bizarre. Watched this cool thing on Asian elephants in indian tonight with the kids at work. Goldie Hawn is a little off the wall at times, but her passion for elephants was great. i think i enjoyed it more due to the relationship between humanity and elephantity, and well the relationships that were forming before my eyes, as the kids saw the plight of elephants and became somewhat emotionally involved...

So, theres some thoughts from my day.
