Picked up Holly Throsby's debut album (from last year) - On Night.
It's great. I really respect anyone that can keep their music ambient and mellow. I think its a reflection of personality but also display a great restraint. I guess, I'm the build up king so something that starts chllin and mellow, unavoidably ends with mentalness (or something equivilant).
Back to Holly... I love her writing style. I think its based on quirks, by this i mean fairly standard things with interesting bits and pieces you arent expecting. Also, I like her vocals - raw and emotional - maybe this is a cliche, but i think it fits here. So... thanx Holly, I'm enjoying what I'm hearing thus far, and looking forward to seeing you live soon.
