Josh Pyke

a few weeks ago i picked up Josh Pyke's EP - Feeding the Wolves. So, I've had a chance to listen to it a bit, and well heres my thoughts.

Middle of the Hill - the song that they have been playing on Triple J, is by far and away the best track. It has elements that remind me of Ben Lee and also Darren Hanlon. Other than that the rest is reasonable, not rubish at all, but no other clear standouts (yet?). Along with the 2 artists i mentioned already, the other tacks have strong similarities to Alex Lloyd. I like Lloydy, so thats ok. I think its a good start for Josh Pyke, i will try to see him when he's up here some time. Who knows when that'll be.

So yeah, good but not great. Probably give it 3 stars.
